5 Family-friendly destinations in Asia

If you are looking to take your kids on an exciting adventure next year then why not take a look at some of the Asian destinations which are perfect for kids. We weren’t sure about Asia with the kids but then last year we went on a small tour and it turned out to be absolutely perfect, so great in fact that we went back this year as well. I love the range of options that this continent offers and if you want to give your kids a new experience for their vacations, here are 5 Asian destinations which are simply perfect for families.

Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

Bali is great for families and our destination of choice is the town of Ubud, a fun and friendly place with plenty for the kids to see and do. Here you will not only find hotels which are fully geared up with kids clubs and activities for the young ones, you will  also find lots of traditional Balinese activities which they will enjoy. The Balinese shows are lively and energetic and whether you watch music, dancing or a theatre show, the kids are sure to love it.

Singapore

Singapore really is a very cool place for families to travel to and your kids will have plenty to do when they visit. Here you will find colorful streets, huge amount of new and exciting foods, plenty of places to go shopping and and a wide array of entertainment options. Kids will especially enjoy the night safari and the science island which will make sure that they are never bored.

Railay, Thailand

In terms of beach destinations for your kids, you can’t get much better in my view than Railay, Thailand. This is a place that is super kid friendly form the hotels to the beaches and even the restaurants all have kids menus inside them. This is actually an island that is only accessible by boat and to be honest, my kids were sold from the boat ride alone! There are no cars on the island and plenty of places for the kids to get outside and play whilst you soak up the beautiful sunshine.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai is properly best known for its hippy scene and its vast amount of backpackers who gather here for the cheap cost of living and the natural beauty but it is actually a great place for kids too. Kids can read elephants here, take an overnight train down to Bangkok and explore through the thick forest with all of the activities that are on offer under the trees. I have to be honest, I wasn’t sure whether or not the kids would enjoy Chiang Mai, but they absolutely loved it and have asked on more than one occasion when they are going back to ride the elephants again!
